Local Processing

Shrink Wizard is designed to process your files entirely locally on your own machine. We do not upload your personal files, images, or data to our servers for processing. The "magic" happens securely on your own hard drive.

Information We Collect

We collect minimal, anonymous data purely to understand how the app is used and to improve the software:

• Analytics: When using the Shrink Wizard Desktop Application, we may collect anonymous, aggregated telemetry data using Google Analytics (via Measurement Protocol). This includes basic event triggers like "App Launched" or "Compression Completed" and the total gigabytes saved. No filenames, paths, or contents of your files are ever collected.
• Crash Reports: Optional crash reports may be submitted if the app encounters a fatal error, which helps us fix bugs.
• Website Analytics: Like most websites, we collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request.

Licensing and Payments (Pro Tier)

If you purchase a Pro license, your payment is processed securely by our Merchant of Record (e.g., LemonSqueezy or Paddle). We do not store or process your credit card information directly. The application only stores a cryptographically signed license key locally on your device to verify your purchase status offline.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
